New Tourism Deal Between Algarve And Seville

"algarve seville tourism"A new deal to boost tourism levels between the Algarve and the Spanish city of Seville has been finalised by the Algarve Regional Tourism Board (ERTA) and the Seville regional tourism authority.

Papers were brought to the headquarters of the ERTA in Faro in the Algarve to be ratified last week following them being signed originally in Seville on June 10.

The purpose of the agreement between the Algarve and Seville is to try to encourage more of a flow of tourists between the Algarve and Seville which is only a couple of hours drive away.

The agreement will see new tourist products becoming available in both the Algarve and in Seville to help to encourage the promotion of each destination in the other area.

The links between Seville and the Algarve tourism have been developing over the years with many people who come to the Algarve taking the time to spend a couple of days in the beautiful Spanish city and visa-versa.

As tourist numbers have fallen in recent years destinations such as the Algarve have had to work to find new ways to attract clients to the region and plans such as these effectively see two destination “sharing” tourists.

This type of agreement allows tourist in the region to be able to benefit from improved links between the Algarve and Seville and better promotions while the destinations themselves are able to see tourists coming to the area who may have never considered visiting before.

Recently the Algarve was found to be one of the cheapest places in Europe to come on a self-catering holiday and two centre vacations such as those between the Algarve and Seville are found to be more popular with those on a self-catering holiday than staying in a hotel.

The location of Faro airport only minutes away from the Spanish border and the easy of which to be able to hire a car from Faro and then drive to Seville makes moving between the two destinations easier than ever before.

Travelling from the Algarve to Seville is very fast, simple and easy with a hire car or alternatively there are good bus links between the Algarve and Seville for those who would prefer not to drive between the two destinations.
